COMMITTEES

TECHNICAL COMMITTEE - The Technical Committee is made up of the City Mangers of Boulder, Henderson, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, the Manager of Clark County and a Clark County School Board Trustee. The Technical Committee advises the Coalition Board regarding growth and related issues in the Region; prepares reviews and finalizes the Coalition Board agenda items; and compiles the official agenda. The Technical Committee provides the technical resources to accomplish the Coalition’s business, and also prepares an annual report outlining major responsibilities and activities of the Coalition. In addition, the Technical Committee assigns work plan tasks to participating entity staff (the members).

FEDERAL LANDS DISPOSAL SUB-COMMITTEE – The Federal Lands Disposal Sub-Committee has the power and authority to work directly with the Bureau of Land Management and to make final decisions to implement the intent of inter-local agreements.

A-95 REVIEW COMMITTEE – The committee is responsible for the administration of efforts necessary for the review, comments, and recommendations required for compliance with Presidential Order 12372 and subsequent Governor’s Executive Orders, State of Nevada relative to applications for Project Notification and Review System.

COMMITTEE ON THE HOMELESS – The Committee oversees regional homeless activities. They coordinate housing and service programs, assess current needs and gaps in service to the homeless, works with the United Way to locate access dollars to fund projects and services, coordinates case management services with southern Nevada Mental Health, Clark county and non-profit groups, and, identifies and applies for competitive homeless-related federal, state and local grants.
