NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition Technical Committee has been called and will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2001, in the Clark County Organizational Development Center's Conference Room #3, 1st Floor, at the Clark County Government Center, 500 South Grand Central Parkway, Las Vegas Nevada, 89106 to consider the following:
I. Call to Order; notice of agenda conformance with Open Meeting Law requirements. II. Approval of Agenda for February 8, 2001. III. Approval of Minutes from the January 11, 2001, meetings. IV. Discuss the actions taken at the January 25, 2001, SNRPC Board meeting; direct staff accordingly. V. Receive an update on the Planning Consultant Activities; direct staff accordingly.
A. Receive Regional Policy Plan and review the ratification process.
B. Review other planning consultant activities.VI. Receive an update on the activities of the SNRPC Air Quality Subcommittee and the Air Quality Transition Management Committee; direct staff accordingly. VII. Receive a report on 2001 legislative issues; direct staff accordingly. VIII. Receive a presentation by George Cann, Executive Director of the Colorado River Commission on restructuring the electric industry. IX. Receive a report on Nuclear Waste/Yucca Mountain Impact Study; direct staff accordingly. X. Receive an update report regarding the Clark County A-95 Clearinghouse Council; direct staff accordingly. XI. Set the agenda for February 22, 2001, SNRPC Board meeting. XII. The next meeting date and location for Technical Committee meeting is tentatively set for March 22, 2001, 4:00 p.m., at the Las Vegas Valley Water District. XIII. Public Comment
No action may be taken upon a matter raised under this item of the agenda until the matter itself has been specifically included on an agenda as an item upon which action may be taken.XIV. Adjournment.
