NOTICE OF MEETING AND AGENDA

SOUTHERN NEVADA REGIONAL PLANNING COALITION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition has been called and will be held at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, September 28, 2000, in Grand Ballroom D, in the Henderson Convention Center, 200 S. Water Street, Henderson, Nevada, 89015, to consider the following:

I. Call to Order; notice of agenda conformance with Open Meeting Law requirements.

II. Approval of the Agenda for September 28, 2000.

III. Approval of the Minutes from the August 31, 2000, meeting.

IV. Receive a report on the actions taken at the September 14, 2000, SNRPC Technical Committee meeting; direct staff accordingly.

V. Receive an update on the Planning Consultant current activities, and review elements of the Regional Policy Plan; take any necessary action.

VI. Receive an update on air quality initiatives in Southern Nevada; direct staff accordingly.

VII.
Receive a report regarding a statement of the affects on air quality by complex sources; direct staff accordingly.

A. Approve the report and direct staff to forward it to the Administrator of the Division of the Environmental Protection, State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

VIII. Accept a certificate of appreciation for outstanding contributions during Census 2000.

IX.
Discuss potential legislation regarding residential facilities for groups; direct staff accordingly.

A. Forward to the Coalition BDR Review Committee for consideration for inclusion in SNRPC Legislative Package; take any necessary action.

X. The next SNRPC Board meeting is tentatively scheduled for November 20, 2000, at 3:30 p.m., in the City of North Las Vegas.

XI. Public Comment
No action may be taken upon a matter raised under this item of the agenda until the matter itself has been specifically included on an agenda as an item upon which action may be taken.
