NOTICE OF MEETING AND AGENDA

SOUTHERN NEVADA REGIONAL PLANNING COALITION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition has been called and will be held at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2002, in the Mead Conference Room #2, at the Las Vegas Valley Water District, 1001 South Valley View, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89153 to consider the following:

I. Call to Order; notice of agenda conformance with Open Meeting Law requirements.

II. Approval of the Agenda for February 28, 2002.

III. Approval of the Minutes of the January 24, 2002, meeting.

IV. Receive a report on the actions taken at the February 14, 2002, Technical Committee meeting; direct staff accordingly.

V. Receive a report on recent planning consultant activities and the Plan Amendment Review Process; take any necessary action.

VI. Receive the interlocal agreement for implementation of “Policies for Projects of Regional Significance”, and direct staff accordingly.

VII. Consider a resolution to support the Regional Flood Control District’s efforts to obtain ownership of certain Federal lands; direct staff accordingly.

VIII. Hold discussion and take action to appoint Pastor Charles Bowker, James J. Kropid, and Punam Mathur to serve as members of the SNRPC Homelessness Task Force; take any action necessary.

IX. The next date and location for the SNRPC Board is tentatively scheduled for March 28, 2002, 3:30 p.m., at the Las Vegas Valley Water District.

X. Public Comment
No action may be taken upon a matter raised under this item of the agenda until the matter itself has been specifically included on an agenda as an item upon which action may be taken.
