A-95 CLEARINGHOUSE COUNCIL

February 8, 2001

 

Agenda Item I. Call to order:

Commissioner Myrna Williams, Chair, called the regular scheduled meeting of the Clark County A-95 Clearinghouse Council to order at 8:45 a.m., in the Clark County Commission Chambers, 500 South Grand Central Parkway, 1st Floor, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89106.

The agenda for the February 8, 2001, meeting had been duly posted in compliance with the Nevada Open Meeting Law.

 

Agenda Item II. Roll Call

 Councilman Cresent Hardy  City of Mesquite
(The members were informed that Councilman Hardy was experiencing car problems)

Commissioner Williams asked that one motion be made for the approval of the agenda and minutes.

 

Agenda Item III. Approval of Agenda for February 8, 2001.

 

 

Agenda Item IV. Approval of Minutes of the September 14, 2000, meeting

A motion was made to approve the agenda for February 8, 2001, and the Minutes of the September 14, 2000, meeting. This motion was approved unanimously.

Agenda Item V. Receive a report on the following received applications; take any necessary action.

Mr. Schlegel introduced each received application item. They were as follows:

1. Economic Opportunity Board of Clark County - 2001 Head Start Operating Proposal. Head Start Basic Operations 2nd Year Continuation.

 Total:

 $7,916,522.00

A motion was made to approve application item 1. The motion was approved unanimously.

(Note: Councilman Rhodes arrived to the meeting)

 

2. Economic Opportunity Board of Clark County - 2001 Head Start Operating Proposal. Early Head Start Basic Operations 2nd Year Continuation.

A motion was made to approve application item 2. The motion was approved unanimously.

 

3. State of Nevada Department of Transportation - Statewide Highway Planning and Research Program for Fiscal Year 2001.

 State Match:

 $1,543,779.00

 State Funds:

 $2,174.852.00

 Local:

 $1,541,793.00

A motion was made to approve application item 1. The motion was approved unanimously.

 

4. Clark County School District - Bilingual Education: Comprehensive School Grant, A Collaborative Schools, CFDA No: 84-290U.

 $1,498,457.00

A motion was made to approve application item 1. The motion was approved unanimously.

 

5. City of Boulder City - Boulder City Municipal Airport Master Plan.

 Estimated funding:

 $150,000.00

 Applicant:

 $10,000.00

 Total:

 $160,000.00

A motion was made to approve application item 1. The motion was approved unanimously.

 

Agenda Item VI. Receive any informational item; take any necessary action.

1. Regional Transportation Commission - Regional Transportation Plan for Fiscal Years 2001- 2025 and Transportation Improvement Program for Fiscal Years 2001-2003.

No action was necessary on this item.

 

Agenda Item VII. Receive any A-95 Clearinghouse Council discussion.

Each member received a copy of a memo from Mesquite regarding the addition of three alternates to serve as A-95 Clearinghouse representatives.

 

Agenda Item VIII. Receive any A-95 Clearinghouse council correspondence.

Each member received a copy of the Nellis Range Renewal Newsletter prior to the meeting.

 

Agenda Item IX. Public Comments

There were no public comments.
